Rob Moroto is an award winning, commercial photographer, residing in Calgary, Alberta working on primarily architectural and interior design projects for architects, designers and luxury home builders.
Vancouver Island is famous for its temperate rain forests, century old trees, long sandy beaches and rainy weather. Yet not all the beauty rests along the West Coast Trail or along the sea line of Tofino or the historical archipelago of Haida Gwaii, sometimes its within the small, the local, and often overlooked pockets of forest like this one in Qualicum Beach.
From Saitama to Kanagawa, Kanto is a group of prefectures along Japan's largest island Honshu and is home to Tokyo, Shibuya, Harajuku, Yokohama and many of Japan's most notable metro destinations. Yet when the Japanese think of Japan, it is never the tourist attractions, the business hubs, the entertainment districts or even the historical areas that they remember. It's the side streets, the book stores, the neighborhood pubs and restaurants that slowly pass away as progress takes us into a faceless future.
Where there is fire.... there are brave individuals who will go to fight it. Not for the fight, nor the glory or reward, but to protect those who are caught in its way. This series is in dedication to all the first responders, firefighters and their families, who risked their lives, livelihoods and time away from their families to ensure that we could be with ours.
